About

The Pressure Experts is a specification led reference site for two kinds of household equipment that happen to share a word. The larger half is home blood pressure monitors. The smaller half is pressure washers. We write about what a product is, what its maker publishes about it, and what that means for the person trying to choose between two of them.

What We Cover

Around two thirds of this catalog is home blood pressure monitors: upper arm units, wrist units, replacement cuffs and a handful of professional grade machines. The rest is cleaning equipment, split between electric pressure washers, which are the bulk of it, and a much smaller group of gasoline engine machines. There is also a small mixed group covering pressure cookers, tire pressure gauges and related pressure gear that sits outside those two main lines. Coverage is deep in the categories we track and absent everywhere else. We do not attempt to be a general product site.

How a Write Up Is Produced

Every page here starts from two sources: what the manufacturer publishes about a product, and what the retail listing says about it. From those we assemble the specifications that decide a purchase. For a blood pressure monitor that means the cuff circumference range, whether it is an upper arm or a wrist device, how many readings it stores, how many users it supports, whether it connects to a phone and what that requires, display legibility, power source, and whether a mains adapter is included. For a pressure washer it means pressure and flow rate together, motor or engine type, hose and cord length, nozzle set, and what the maker says about outlet and extension cord requirements.

Listing data is unreliable more often than most readers assume. Wattage fields carry figures that are clearly not wattage. Voltages appear in the wrong format or quote the wrong market. Weights are impossible. A pressure figure is advertised with no flow figure beside it, which makes it close to meaningless on its own. When we find a contradiction like that, our rule is to name it in the text rather than quietly pick whichever number reads better. If a listing publishes no cuff range at all, we say so and tell the reader to measure their own arm before ordering. A gap in the data is information, and hiding it would be the actual dishonesty.

Claims of clinical validation, regulatory clearance or a stated accuracy figure are always attributed to whoever made them. If a manufacturer says a monitor was validated, we report that the manufacturer says it, note whether a protocol was named, and tell the reader they can check it independently. We do not repeat those claims as our own findings, because they are not our findings.

What We Do Not Do

This part is worth being blunt about, because a lot of sites in this space are vague on purpose.

  • We do not test products. We do not buy, own, wear, run, time, measure or benchmark anything we write about. There is no lab, no test bench and no sample closet behind this website. Anything you read here that sounds like a measurement came from a manufacturer or a listing, not from us.
  • We are not medical professionals and claim no medical expertise. Nobody here is a doctor, nurse, pharmacist or clinical technician, and nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. We describe blood pressure monitors as devices. We do not tell anyone what a reading means, when to be concerned, or what to do about it. Those questions belong to a clinician who knows your history.
  • We do not rank by who pays. No manufacturer can buy a placement, a rating or a favorable sentence on this site.
  • We do not sell anything. There is no shop here, no payment is taken, and no order can be placed. Every purchase happens on a retailer’s own website under that retailer’s terms.
  • We do not invent people. You will not find a fabricated founder story, a stock photo team page or a list of credentials nobody holds. The site is written and maintained by its operator, and that is the whole of it.

How the Site Is Funded

The Pressure Experts takes part in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and earns from qualifying purchases. If you follow a link from here to a retailer and buy something, we may receive a commission, and the price you pay is unchanged. That is the only revenue this site has, and the full explanation is on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Corrections

Because our raw material is other people’s data, some of what we publish will be wrong. If you spot an incorrect specification, a discontinued model presented as current, or a manufacturer claim we have handled badly, tell us through the form on our contact page and we will look at it. Corrections from people who actually own the equipment are the most useful messages we get.
