It is not a pressure gauge, it is not a diagnostic scanner, and it does not tell you what pressure your tires are at. What this tool does, and the safety point that comes with it

When tires are rotated or a sensor is replaced, the car no longer knows which sensor is on which corner, and in many cases the warning light stays on. VXDAS also states that the sensors should be original equipment sensors that are already programmed correctly.

If your vehicle is not a GM product, this tool is the wrong purchase entirely, and no amount of holding it against the tire will change that.

VXDAS states the process takes one to two minutes and also notes that different vehicles may need different numbers of attempts to reset all sensors after a rotation. If a corner does not respond, the likely causes are a flat sensor battery, a non original sensor, or the vehicle dropping out of learn mode, not the tool.
