VIGRUE 24 Inch Undercarriage Cleaner and Water Broom Review: Two Modes, One Bar

  • 24 inch bar with 7 nozzles that switches between undercarriage cleaning and water broom modes by rotating a locking swivel joint.
  • VIGRUE publishes a working range of 1500 to 4000 PSI and states cleaning is more effective at 2500 PSI or higher.
  • Kit includes two 16 inch straight wands, a 45 degree curved wand, anti clogging needles and a wash mitt.
  • No minimum GPM is published, and no wheels or casters appear anywhere in the specifications or bullets.
  • Rated for hot as well as cold water machines; eye protection is essential because the jet fires upward and returns carrying grit.

Description

Who this attachment is for and what it settles

The VIGRUE 24 inch attachment is sold as a two in one tool, and the two jobs it does are genuinely different. Angled downward it is a water broom, a wide bar of nozzles that sweeps loose debris off a driveway, a sidewalk or a patio in one pass instead of chasing it around with a wand. Angled upward it becomes an undercarriage cleaner that rolls beneath a vehicle and sprays the underside, which removes the need to lie on the ground aiming a jet at your own face.

Switching between them is mechanical rather than a matter of technique. VIGRUE describes pulling out the pivot joint nut at the end of the coupler, rotating the swivel joint to the angle you want, then loosening the nut so it locks automatically. One bar, two working angles, and the 7 nozzles across 24 inches do the work either way.

The undercarriage half of that is the one worth buying it for if you drive on salted roads, because salt left on an underbody is what turns surface rust into structural rust. The water broom half is a convenience on hard surfaces where a surface cleaner would be overkill, since a broom moves loose material rather than stripping bonded dirt the way the shrouded cleaners in our JANZ 16 inch surface cleaner review do.

Fit first: the pressure window is published

VIGRUE states a working pressure range of 1500 to 4000 PSI and adds that cleaning is more effective at 2500 PSI or higher. Both ends of the window plus a recommended level is more than many attachment listings give, and the floor is the number to check. A water driven bar is turned and lifted by the reaction of its own jets, so below a certain output it will not clear what it is aimed at. Plenty of compact electric machines sit at or below 1500 PSI, which puts them outside the range entirely.

All parts use quarter inch quick connectors, and VIGRUE states the tool works with hot as well as cold water machines, which is unusual for a consumer accessory and useful on baked on road film.

What is missing is a minimum flow figure. Pressure gets a floor, a ceiling and a recommendation, but flow is what carries loosened material away, and two machines at the same PSI with different flow rates will drive this bar quite differently. If your machine sits near the 1500 PSI floor with a low flow rate, confirm the requirement with VIGRUE before ordering.

What is in the box

The kit is the 24 inch water broom, two 16 inch straight extension wands, one 45 degree curved extension wand of about 16 inches, a set of anti clogging needles for clearing blocked nozzles, a wash mitt and an instruction manual. Three wands rather than two is what lets the operator stand upright while pushing the bar well under a vehicle, and supplying clean out needles is sensible on a tool with seven small orifices.

Using it safely, which matters more here than on a surface cleaner

In undercarriage mode this tool aims high pressure water upward from ground level, and what comes back down is water carrying road grit, rust flakes, dried mud and whatever chemistry the underbody has collected. Eye protection is not optional on this job, and closed footwear and long sleeves are sensible. A pressure washer jet can force water and surface contaminants through skin, and an injection injury needs immediate medical attention even when the entry wound looks small. Never aim it at a person or an animal.

Do not get under the vehicle to check progress while the machine is running, and never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. The point of the tool is that you stay standing.

On the vehicle, keep the bar moving rather than dwelling in one place. High pressure water directed at a fixed point drives moisture into electrical connectors, forces grease out of sealed joints, and lifts underbody coating at an edge that has already begun to fail. Steer clear of exposed wiring looms and areas where the protective coating is already damaged, and let the underside dry properly rather than parking it wet in a closed garage.

In water broom mode, remember that a broom moves debris rather than containing it. Unlike a shrouded surface cleaner, there is no skirt keeping the spray underneath, so plan the direction of travel so material is pushed away from doors, windows and anything you have just cleaned.

Limits and gaps in the listing data

The description field is empty, so the five feature bullets are the whole record. Beyond the missing flow requirement, the listing does not publish the nozzle orifice size, whether replacement nozzles are available, the maximum inlet water temperature for the hot water use it claims, or the warranty term.

No wheels or casters appear anywhere in the specification block or the feature bullets. Comparable undercarriage tools list casters explicitly, and on a bar meant to roll under a vehicle that is a meaningful omission from the record rather than a detail. Confirm with VIGRUE whether the bar rides on casters or slides.

The listed dimensions of 5 by 5 by 23 inches do not obviously describe a 24 inch wide bar, and the record does not explain what they measure. The power source field reads hydraulic_powered, which is at least descriptive for a water driven tool even if it is not a standard term. Country of origin is China, the model is 24 IN-SGNGYQXJ and the UPC is 197644023905. Weight is given consistently as 2.31 kilograms and 5.09 pounds. Amazon showed a rating of 4.3 out of 5 at capture, with no rating count present in the record, ranked 18,118th in Patio, Lawn and Garden, 120th in pressure washers and 184th in pressure washer accessories.

Alternatives worth comparing

The closest comparisons are single purpose undercarriage tools. The RIDGE WASHER 24 inch undercarriage cleaner review matches this one on width and publishes the same 1500 to 4000 PSI window while naming its casters and its 7 nozzles, and the RIDGE WASHER 16 inch review covers the narrower version. The M MINGLE undercarriage cleaner review and the Tool Daily undercarriage attachment review cover two further competitors.

Machines capable of driving any of these sit in the electric pressure washer category, where the flow rate is the specification to check before the pressure rating.

Who should buy it and who should not

Buy it if you want one attachment that handles both an underbody rinse and a driveway sweep, and your machine works above 1500 PSI and ideally above 2500. Do not buy it for a compact machine below the floor VIGRUE states. Confirm whether casters are fitted before ordering, since the listing never mentions them, and confirm the flow requirement if your machine sits near the minimum.
