That floor is the number to check. A water driven bar is turned and lifted by the reaction of its own jets, and below a certain output it will not clear the debris it is aimed at. Many compact electric machines sit at or below 1500 PSI, which puts them outside the range entirely. What is in the box
The kit is the 24 inch undercarriage washer itself, two straight extension wands at 21.65 inches each, and one 21.65 inch curved wand at 45 degrees. Assembly runs in that order: the two straight wands join to the bar, the curved wand joins to the straight section, and the pressure washer gun quick connects to the angled end. Using it safely, which matters more here than on a surface cleaner
An undercarriage cleaner aims a high pressure jet upward from ground level, and what comes back down is water carrying road grit, rust flakes, dried mud and whatever chemistry the underbody has collected. Eye protection is not optional on this job, and closed footwear and long sleeves are sensible. A pressure washer jet can force water and surface contaminants through skin, and an injection injury needs immediate medical attention even when the entry wound looks small. Never aim it at a person or an animal.
Do not get under the vehicle to check progress while the machine is running, and never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. The whole reason to buy this tool is that it removes the need to be underneath.
On the vehicle itself, keep the bar moving rather than dwelling in one place. High pressure water directed at a fixed point can drive moisture into electrical connectors, force grease out of sealed joints, and lift underbody coating or sound deadening at an edge that has already started to fail. Pressure gets a floor, a ceiling and a recommended level, but flow is what carries debris away, and two machines at the same PSI with different flow rates will drive this bar quite differently. If your machine sits near the 1500 PSI floor with a low flow rate, confirm the requirement with RIDGE WASHER before ordering.
Also unpublished: the nozzle size, whether replacement nozzles are available, the connector standard on the gun end beyond the description of quick connecting, the maximum inlet water temperature for the hot water use it claims, the warranty term, the UPC and any model number. The power source field reads hydraulic_powered, which is at least descriptive for a water driven tool even if it is not a standard term.
Amazon showed a rating of 4.5 out of 5 across 1,238 ratings at capture, ranked 381st in Patio, Lawn and Garden, 1st in pressure washers and 3rd in pressure washer accessories. Being ranked first in pressure washers is odd for an accessory that is not a pressure washer, and it reflects how Amazon files the product rather than anything about the tool.
