One monitor, two people, one record. That is the most common failure mode in a household that buys a single blood pressure monitor, and it is entirely a specification problem. What multi user support actually means
On almost every home monitor, multi user support means partitioned memory. The device provides two banks, sometimes three, and a physical switch or a button cycles between them. It is not user recognition. There is no sensor that identifies who is being measured, no login and no profile in the sense a phone uses the word. The switch is a filing decision made by whoever presses it, before the measurement, every time.
Capacity is usually published per bank. A device advertised as two by ninety stores ninety readings for each of two users. A device advertised with a single figure of ninety and two users may be splitting that ninety, and the listing has to be read closely to tell. Averaging modes work from stored entries, so a merged bank produces an average of two people’s readings. That figure describes nobody. It is the clearest argument for treating bank discipline as part of using the device rather than as an optional extra, and it is the reason a two user device used by two people is not the same product as a one user device used by two people.
The same logic applies to any weekly or morning and evening summaries a device calculates. Those summaries are only as clean as the filing underneath them.
When the household should buy two devices
There is a real case for two monitors rather than one, and it is not primarily about memory. It is about cuffs. If two people in a household have arms in different size bands, one device with one cuff cannot serve both correctly, and the fix is either a second cuff in the right band or a second device. A second cuff is usually the cheaper route, but it means swapping the cuff between sessions and remembering which one is fitted, which is one more thing to get wrong.
Two devices also solve the timing problem in households where both people measure at the same time of day, and they remove the bank switching step entirely.
